JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to the Registration department for the collection of demographic, insurance cards, clinical information and collection of monies for the purpose of registering all types of patients. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES
1. Registers / Pre-Registers patients for urgent care and OPD hospital services.
2. Collects any monies due from patients on the date of service and performs reconciliation process at the end of scheduled shift.
3. Verifies insurance eligibility.
4. Acts as a receptionist in the waiting area, assists patient with exam preperations. Communicates with family, physicians and patients.
5. 6. Scans patient documents into Optical Imaging System.
7. Performs Medical Necessity validation when applicable.
8. Manages onsite Medical Imaging records, burns and provides imaging CD's/records as needed.
9. On Call rotation for weekend urgent care coverage
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or GED with related experience or training in patient registration, Medical Office preferred.
