SSSD has an opening for a Communication System Products/Catalina Program Director to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Redondo Beach, California and reports directly to the Vice President of Comm Systems.
As the Catalina program manager you will be responsible for all aspects of cost, schedule, design, development, production, integration, test, delivery and verification of space communications hardware and software.
The Catalina Program Manager responsibilities include:

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Active in-scope TS/SCI clearance
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with a minimum ten (10) years of relevant and/or related skills and experience with communication systems products
* Minimum five (5) years of experience in a project/program management role as a project lead, IPT, CAM, and/or PM
* Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
* Demonstrated experience leading classified program execution with development and implementation of complex OPSEC plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs comprised of engineering, business, contracts, law, supply chain, production and mission/quality assurance disciplines
* Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with customers
* MS in STEM discipline or MBA from an accredited university
* Proven experience delivering class A space communication hardware on-schedule in a multi-shipset production environment
* Experience delivering and integrating restricted communications products, or other products with high technical overlap
* Experience optimizing space hardware production flow to meet fixed-price or schedule-incentivized contract environments
* Leadership experience in new technology areas and effective change management
* IPT and/or Project Management experience across multiple phases of program lifecycle
* Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity management
* Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions
