The Outpatient Pharmacist PRN ensures the effective, safe and economical use of drugs through the professional application of pharmacist skills and knowledge and serves as a resource for drug information to other health and medical professionals.
The Outpatient Pharmacist PRN interprets and review prescription instructions and ensures that patient medication orders are appropriately prescribed, serves as a resource and educator on drug therapy and prescription drug plans for medical team members, patients, and patient family members, supervises and monitors the duties of technicians and clerical personnel, and maintains and monitors systems and controls within the retail pharmacy.
The ideal Outpatient Pharmacist PRN candidate has current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Texas and able to supervise a staff of technician and clinical personnel. The candidate must be organized, detail oriented and able to function in a fast paced environment.
