Purpose and Objective:

SAP SuccessFactors is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for performance tuning focusing on performance measurement, design, coding, tuning of complex product features.

Expectations and Tasks:

* End-to-end responsibility in performance shaping activities including reviewing cloud application architecture, performance testing, performance tuning and restructuring software for improving cloud application performance.
* Engage with module development team to design and develop high-volume, low-latency cloud base HCM application from end to end.
* Engage with cloud application production issue monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and performance tuning activities.

Requirements:

Software Performance measurement expertise:

* Proficient hands-on experience in debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning Java Application
* Proficient experience in Performance tools like LoadRunner, Jmeter, Profiler, HttpWatch etc.
* Knowledge in DB performance, DB query analysis, and storage/disk design of SAP HANA.
* Knowledge or experience with cloud application monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting is a plus.

Hands-on Development and Performance tuning experience:

* Proficient knowledge in technologies and framework like Java/J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, SAP HANA, UI Technologies and OData protocols to develop modem software that performs and scales in cloud environment.
* Proficient hands-on experience in Java development (tomcat, JEE, dependency injection, and more).
* Proficient knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles, Design Patterns and Software Architecture, especially for Cloud solutions
* Knowledge with client-side knowledge of Web technologies including JS, HTML, CSS.
* Proficient hands-on experience in designing and implementing all layers of software (UI, Backend, Database).
* Knowledge and experience in development infrastructure and process including Git, TeamCity, Jenkins etc., and experience in Continuous Delivery practices.
* Working experience with Scrum, Performance Test driven Development and being passionate about all level of performance tests including unit and integrated level performance testing, end to end test ,stress testing and performance test automation.
* Experience in public cloud based application like on AZURE and GCP is a plus.
* Experience in building Analytical and Report modeling for highly customizable Enterprise cloud-based SaaS application is a plus.

* Demonstrated self-driven and quick learning skills, ability to understand new framework and functional development.
* Demonstrated good communication skills and cooperative work attitude.

Education and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related areas.

Work Experience:

* 5+ years experience in software Performance Engineering, Development, DevOps roles.
