The Sales Manager-Ameriprise Advisor Center (AAC) is responsible for driving results by providing frontline leadership, development and coaching to a team comprised of multiple roles. After a robust training period, AAC Managers influence positive client interactions through coaching and monitoring sales activities. This role also includes direct interaction with clients through building relationships during escalated and/or complex situations.
* Demonstrate critical skills of a leader including setting expectations, developing, coaching and motivating a team; include holding 1:1s, team huddles, administration duties (e.g. PTO, timecard tracking), ensuring brand standards, client service and satisfaction are met. Develop employee skills in financial planning through coaching and role playing. Include managing all aspects of performance management and development of improvement plans.
* Share AAC vision and lead a team of employees to meet or exceed sales results, while best serving the needs of our clients within the AAC client relationship model. Drive new client acquisition through the coaching and motivation of team to obtain referrals through delivery of high quality client experiences, personal and professional networks, centers of influence, etc. to generate prospects.
* Responsible for supervision of all sales activities of registered personnel assigned to him/her; ensure sales activities are appropriate based on client objectives, goals, risk tolerance, etc. and adequate disclosure was provided.
* Take an active role to ensure that the AAC is a positive and supportive environment for all advisors and staff.
* Partner with Client Relationship Managers and Financial Consultants to resolve escalated client needs and assist with advanced client case work.
* Participate in the recruiting and selection process including interviewing and partnering closely with talent acquisition.
* 3-5 years relevant experience.
* Series 7, state securities (S63 or S66), state IAR (S65 or S66) and state life, accident and health and variable contract insurance licenses.
* Hold or obtain Series 24 within 90 days of hire.
* Demonstrated leadership behaviors including ability to motivate individuals and teams, coach colleagues, create high energy and build confidence in self and others.
* Demonstrated track record of following compliance policies, principles, and procedures; must be in good compliance standing with regulators.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills and persuasive ability.
* Bachelor's degree.
* Demonstrated results in successfully coaching and leading sales professionals early in their career; experience in a leadership capacity.
* In-depth knowledge of Ameriprise Financial products and services; demonstrated understanding of the industry and competition.
* Ability to demonstrate all key sales tasks involved in an outbound phone environment; including working with contact management systems.
* Effective consultative sales skills and ability to successfully coach and mentor around these skills
* Willingness to give and receive feedback.
* Interviewing skills and experience for recruiting and selection of sales professionals.
