You Will Be Responsible For:

* Works as necessary with Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer (RCRO) to provide input on the implementation and on-going review of compliance policies and procedures, as well as assistance with implementation of these policies and procedures within the physician practices to ensure compliance with AdventHealth Corporate policies
* Assists in coordinating the identification of business associates that receive PHI and reviews existing contracts as needed with these entities for compliance with HIPAA. As needed, reviews and evaluates proposed business contracts and other documents to identify and correct potential conflicts between AHMGs privacy policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
* Cooperates with the Department of Health and Human Services, the Office for Civil Rights, other legal entities, and organization officers in any corporate responsibility or privacy reviews or investigations.
* Assume the responsibility of RCRO West Florida Division in the absence of the RCRO.
* Assumes responsibility of Corporate Responsibility activities at specific Physician group entities as delegated by RCRO.
* Coordinates and schedules monitoring and auditing activity for the AdventHealth Medical Group entities in the WFD.
* In association with the RCRO, provides communication, training, and education regarding regulatory compliance to ensure consistency across the division.
* Assist in development and dissemination of Corporate Responsibility education to all workforce members in the Division. Develop and support compliance and code of conduct education, including new employee orientation, compliance training and facility leadership training.
* Performs compliance investigations, EthicsPoint hotline responses, FairWarning investigations, perform Data Loss Prevention (DLP) investigations, and other activities for the division in association with the RCRO.
* As assigned by or with approval of RCRO, designs and conducts audits in the Division and presents findings to the associated AHMG Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee or Executives/Leadership.
* Conducts independently or assists with any external audits in conjunction with AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility and RCRO.
* Generally, assists RCRO with coordination of Corporate Responsibility activities in the Division.
* Responsible for assuring the uploading and submission of monitoring and auditing documentation to Corporate One Drive to meet auditing deadlines.
* Attend/Conducts Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee meetings within the division. Chairs such Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee meetings as assigned or in absence of RCRO.
* Present Corporate Responsibility educational sessions to AHMG WFD Boards, Executives, Leadership and Staff as assigned by RCRO.
* Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. Attends educational offerings to remain current in area of expertise.
* Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

* Knowledge of the culture and working environment in AdventHealth medical Group.
* Ability to understand the healthcare regulatory environment.
* Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively; to present ideas and information effectively in front of committees and large groups, with senior leadership and all other levels of personnel throughout the organization. Ability to effectively perform teaching functions.
* Demonstrable organizational skills in compliance related activities.
* Demonstrable skill in the use of productivity software including MS Word, MS Excel
* Ability to prepare presentations and reports using a variety of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, composing documents effectively using advanced writing skills
* Ability to take direction from administrative personnel and develop processes to accomplish requested tasks
* Ability to work with other departments effectively
* Ability to research regulatory subjects including AHCA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other physician practice /healthcare-related laws and regulations
* Ability to manage and monitor progress of large projects and activities, prioritizing work duties and completing tasks accurately and within established timeframes.
* Ability to handle compliance issues effectively
* Ability to conduct detailed and thorough investigations into incidents and/or issues and assist with creating workflows.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employees, patients and company information
* Ability to recognize a high standard of ethics in business operations
* Ability to travel to AHMG WF Division Physician Practices.
* Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or other healthcare related field.
* Minimum of three years healthcare compliance, physician practice operations experience, regulatory, or financial auditing experience or completion of AH Residency in Corporate Responsibility.
* Healthcare compliance certification required or obtained within first year.
* Licensure not required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

* Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Law, or Business Administration preferred.
* Auditing Skills
* Basic knowledge of medical coding and billing

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer (RCRO)-West Florida Division, the Assistant Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer West Florida Division (ARCRO) is responsible for assisting the RCRO in the day-to-day operations of the corporate responsibility function for the AdventHealth Medical Group WFD. This includes working in association or at the direction of the RCRO and independently within the context of the Corporate Responsibility Program structure. Job responsibilities primarily include assistance with administration and oversight of the Corporate Responsibility program at the West Florida Division AdventHealth Medical Group and coordination of the Monitoring & Auditing Plans at the following Physician Group markets.
