What youll do on a typical day:
* Consolidate and analyze financial data to identify customer payment and cash collection trends; assemble and summarize data to effectively communicate findings to leadership
* Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis to forecast cash collections; track and determine cash flow position by analyzing actual results in comparison to forecasts
* Develop and maintain metrics for all cash application and collection processes
* Automate calculation and distribution of weekly metrics
* Track factoring at end of the quarter to ensure that all factoring and collection targets are met; work with management teams to ensure attainment of monthly, quarterly and annual targets
* Create process flows for cash collections and credit
* Establish relationships with key customer Accounts Payable personnel to facilitate cash collection and credit processes
* Review bad debt and disputes, and work with Account Managers to resolve; develop appropriate contacts with the Account Management team to help drive collections and identify dispute information related to past-due accounts
* Assist the Pricing group with the approvals of terms and credit limit exceptions
* Become the subject matter expert (SME) for the cash application process and provide direction to the team in India
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youll need:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
* 2 years of experience in a financial role or similar analyst role
* Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle), HFM, financial planning software, Microsoft BI and related technologies
* Experience with large databases with the ability to utilize data from various BI systems
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel
Itd be great if you also have:
* MBA
* Experience with Lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications
* Data analysis and report automation experience
* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
* Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
