Wekiva Springs Behavioral Health Center is located in Jacksonville, Florida near Butler Boulevard and I-95. Our customized, holistic approach to wellness includes such multidisciplinary treatment options as medical and psychiatric evaluations, nutritional education, family therapy, group therapy (including experiential and educational groups), medication management and discharge planning.

We have an immediate opening for a Full-Time Patient Account Representative. Our Business Office is seeking a skilled and experienced Patient Account Representative to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. Purpose: To assist in collecting accounts receivable for the Hospital. The opportunity for the Patient Account Representative provides is the following:

* Keys patient accounts receivable information into the system and uploads it to the needed portals.
* Verify benefits with insurance carriers
* Calculate patient's deductible and co-insurance payments to the Hospital
* Provides financial counseling to the patients and their family members
* Answer telephone calls from practitioners/patients regarding outstanding claims
* Responsible for all aspects of insurance follow up and collections
* Electronically submits billing and monitors their payment processing

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

* Knowledgeable of medical reimbursement and terminology
* Advanced computer skills including Windows Office
* Excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple tasks
* Proficient in basic math and accounting skills
* Must have at least 1-year direct experience in Medical Office or Hospital Billing and Collections and be familiar with Medicare and Medicaid
* Excellent communication skills
