About the Department:
Join our exceptional Observation team that supports our 115-bed, state-of-the-art Emergency Department and accredited Level I Trauma Center as a leader on the nursing team. Our department delivers care to over 135,000 patients a year.
* Reading Hospital is part of a level l Trauma center and has recieved outstanding rewards for the ED department.
* Our department's CT Scanner is dedicated to emergency patients. This state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner for advanced imaging is used with for traumatic injuries, stroke and other potentially life-threatening problems.
* The Emergency Department received the Highmark Quality Blue Award for reducing the time between arrival and discharge or admission. The award also recognizes the reduction in time for patients to be seen by a physician.
Responsibilities
Perform routine patient activities according to established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient as assigned by the Professional Nurse.
