Logistics Analytics and Reporting Manager Marlborough, MA

Job Summary:

Logistics Analytics and Reporting Manager is responsible for driving the overall strategy for the Logistics organization. They are responsible for developing a comprehensive reporting suite that provides the necessary data and dashboards to drive critical business results. They will partner with logistics leaders to understand their unique data & reporting needs and translate that information into visual reports and dashboards. The Logistics Analytics and Reporting Manager understands underlying data structure and leads a team of analysts to organize and model data in the most effective manner, maximizing run-time and report performance. They understand the dynamic nature of our business to anticipate future needs and provide continued support to the logistics operations. They will be the subject matter expert with a strategic mindset assisting the AVP in building out the reporting roadmap.

Logistics Analytics and Reporting Manager has the analytical skills to know what to do with data to turn it into insights. Also possess the communication skills to create clean visuals and explain their work effectively to any audience Extract the big picture from detailed analysis, formulate robust viewpoints, and prepare powerful visualizations and presentations. Must be comfortable with ambiguity - exploring new data and coming up with ideas for improvement and able to provide clarity with data-driven analytics.

Major Areas of Responsibility

* In collaboration with Logistics partners, develops performance tracking and reporting strategy, including report requirements audience segmentation, frequency, KPI identification, dashboard definition
* Provides context to performance through standardized and documented definition of KPIs in collaboration with business partners
* Defines mechanisms for gathering data used to measure performance
* Maintains knowledge of how KPIs interact with the business
* Works with Logistics Systems and IT to identify and evaluate reporting tools
* Effectively monitors and manages the repository of reports
* Question results and finds meaningful insights; not just report numbers
* Helps prioritize reporting needs, manages the workload with team of analysts and provides a summary of progress against the roadmap.
* Collaborates with IT to develop and understand enterprise data strategy and infrastructure
* Supports ad hoc operational data and analytical requests and reporting
* Create views and formulate storylines to provide actionable recommendations to partners
* Identifies opportunities to streamline reporting distribution and works with logistics leadership and business partners to implement
* Provides and presents strategic data-driven recommendations across the enterprise to improve decision-making and ROI
* Periodically reviews report catalog, assesses usage, and adjusts reports as needed to meet current business needs
* Collaborates with Logistics Systems, IT, and Finance on data integrity issues
* Manages, coaches, and mentors direct reports and develops them for future growth within the function and organization
* Communicates insights with the purpose of increasing enterprise value by improving supply chain efficiency
* Leads a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, oversees their performance and ensures their development and growth

Minimal Skills / Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree Required, Advanced Degree Preferred
* 5-7 years experience in data & reporting field
* Experience leading and developing a team
* Technical aptitude (ex. Excel, SQL, Access, PowerBI)
* Understanding of Logistics / Supply Chain KPIs
* Operational/Supply Chain experience preferred
* Ability to understand data and recognize trends, experience building reporting strategy
* Report production capabilities
* Attention to detail, yet also handle multiple workstreams concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment
* Visual presentation of data and report production capabilities
* Knowledge of business, Off-price model understanding
* Track record of learning and developing new analytical skills and technical knowledge in a dynamic setting
* Strong communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to explain abstract concepts succinctly to various partners, to communicate analytical learnings to partners and leadership, and to maintain organized documentation
