What will you do?
* Fill orders by way of computerized equipment (RF-Scanner) or printed picking ticket from branch storage areas in the refrigerated and non-refrigerated areas. This function as well as others such as stocking may require reaching up to but not limited to 105 inches high to remove or place products onto shelving.
* Maintain Kanban levels using pull cards or other notification process in-place.
* Packing and arranging products onto pallets or into varied sizes of packaging boxes at but not limited to working at packaging tables with heights ranging from 10 inches to 24 inches.
* Perform cycle counting activities as directed by supervisor.
* Counting items accurately when pulling, packing, performing inventory counts.
* Checking of your own work and that of others as assigned for quality and accuracy, completing any additional steps to prepare/finalize orders for shipment.
* Work cooperatively with co-workers and efficiently with limited supervision.
* Stocking product on shelves, load/unload courier trucks by hand as well as through the use of manual pallet jacks and/or motorized equipment, i.e. forklift, etc.
* Lifting up to 75 pounds from floor to waist and lifting up to 54 pounds from floor to shoulder height on a regular basis in areas with temperatures of 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
* Identifying duplicated orders and order errors that would lead to inaccurate inventories, as well as the accompanied increases in unnecessary shipping costs.
* Processing of a weekly stock level, Kanban inventory levels using cross verification of printed reports.
* Responsible for computerized manifesting systems (Fed-X, UPS, Airborne, and others) to record shipments and perform closeout (end-of day) responsibilities.
* Responsible for varied performance of QC and QS compliance issues through e-mails, product moves (computer and physically), and maintenance of quarantine areas.
* Route of customer orders and daily standing orders by the most efficient and cost effective method available.
* Aid in the identification of cost saving abilities, such as ship-with (SW) shipping of two or more orders to a single (Ship To) address.
* Indenting re-routing opportunities to save on shipping costs through learned carrier/courier-pricing knowledge.
* Responsible for product shelf maintenance by established stocking methods.
* Inventory adjustments maintenance of outdated materials both by hand and computer.
* Identify product skipping while pulling/picking an order to aid in maintaining proper inventory levels and FIFO
* Re-verification of packing slips to coordinate with product and pick-ticket to identify and aid in the elimination of shipment error.
* General housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and sealing of floors, regular dusting of the shelves as well as keeping all work areas clean and free of packaging materials, shipping cartons, etc.
How will you get here?
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* 2-3 years prior warehouse experience.
* Knowledge of all methods of proof of delivery (P.O.D.) documentation research responsibilities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all site personnel and external departments.
* Possess basic knowledge of math and ability to read and write English proficiently.
* Basic data entry skills.
* Basic use of the ERP systems.
* Comfortable working in extreme temperature environment.
