The Business Development Professional, working under general supervision, is responsible for conducting targeted market research, establishing business rapport with potential partners, and participating in negotiation discussions to secure favorable terms. The role leverages extensive networks of deal professionals to unlock "off-market" prospects and new partnerships, maintains deep relationships with the energy financial community to stay ahead of M&A trends and gathers competitive M&A intelligence to inform decision-making. The role also actively participates in change efforts and contributes to collaborative, goal-oriented team efforts.

• Conducts targeted market research, analyzes competitive landscape, and actively pursues promising leads to generate new business opportunities

• Provides analysis of financial data to inform strategic decision-making, developing financial models to evaluate investments, mergers, and acquisitions.

• Supports the screening of potential acquisition and merger transactions, actively participating in the preparation and evaluation of proforma financial information, serving as a key contributor to well-informed investment decisions.

• Aids in the implementation of innovative financial processes and systems, identifying and automating manual tasks to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Supports in establishing rapport with potential counterparties, fosters trust and confidence through effective communication, and assists in building long-term business partnerships.

• Participates in negotiation discussions with partners as well as in M&A transaction teams, driving execution through due diligence.

• Collaborates with internal teams and maintains deep relationships with the energy financial community to stay ahead of M&A trends and investor sentiment, develop tailored proposals that highlight value propositions, and address counterparty's specific requirements.

• Utilizes CRM tools and data analytics to effectively manage potential customer interactions.

• Works under general supervision, actively participates in change efforts, and establishes influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, cultivating effective working connections.

• Develops an understanding of business development, recommends modifications, and communicates effectively, sharing knowledge and actively identifying opportunities for data quality improvement.

• Evaluates and recommends solutions independently, assesses business development risks, and demonstrates the ability to prioritize and complete assignments, contributing to collaborative, goal-oriented team efforts.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Business Development, Investment Banking or Private Equity.
