Job Description

Duties:

Originate project and structured finance deals in Latin America in the infrastructure, energy and renewables sectors with clients and prospects of the Bank; and negotiate deal terms. Advise on the best structures and products to achieve the clients’ goals; and leverage the full spectrum of the bank’s resources to create and execute the best solutions and structures for the client. Execute the project advisories and financings (bank loans, project bonds, private placements and/or Multilateral A/B); lead financing documentation negotiation; supervise team work on due diligence analysis, preparation of credit proposals that include sound credit and risk analysis, closing processes and syndication. Train junior resources particularly with a focus on long-term cash flow models that consider various commodities, hedging, and operating assumptions to ascertain project values and appropriate debt levels. Work with internal product partners including Coverage, Syndications, Global Markets (debt capital markets and derivatives), M&A and legal; interface with external parties including counsels (both New York and local Latam ones) and consultants (technical, market, insurance). Participate in marketing activities for potential clients (pitches, proposals, and presentations). *Telecommuting permitted 20% w/in normal commuting distance.

SALARY: $240,000 - $300,000/ year

Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)

Job Requirements:  Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in job offered or related role OR Master's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related role. Must have six (6) years of experience (or 4 with Master’s) with the following: Energy, Resources and Infrastructure Finance in Latin America OR in a related position responsible for Structured Finance deal execution with a focus on the Energy and Infrastructure sectors within Latin American markets (including Chile, Colombia, and Mexico) within an international bank or international financial services company; Leading project finance deals in Latin America covering a broad spectrum of sectors, including Renewables, Low Carbon projects, Digital Infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation, and midstream oil & gas; Managing various financial products and structures, including bank loans, U.S. private placements, and acquisition financings; Structuring and negotiating financing documents, such as term sheets and credit agreements; Performing due diligence, rating processes with Moody’s, Fitch, or S&P for Latin America transactions; and preparing internal credit memos and external marketing materials.); and Leveraging credit analysis, financial analysis, quantitative, and modelling skills including developing and analyzing financial models in excel and use of VBA.
