Job Summary and Responsibilities
Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day programming of exercise situations for groups and individuals;answering questions regarding Cardiac Rehabilitation; answering Cardiac Rehab Center phone; taking blood pressures upon request; scheduling appointments for patients; registering individuals and receiving payment for classes, special services and screenings; and overseeing the maintenance of the exercise equipment, tools and the room used for classes. The exercise physiologist will be responsible for ordering of supplies, entering work orders for maintenance and entering charges into a computer.
Performs specific areas of member services including fitness evaluations and exercise programs and prescriptions.
Take blood pressure readings and provide educational material to the individual.
Assists with taking appointments, class registrations, setting up/planning/monitoring programs and follow up as appropriate.
Provide instruction on prevention, conditioning and evaluations to promote health
Maintains the facility to ensure cleanliness and oversees regular maintenance of equipment to ensure member satisfaction.
Makes fitness and wellness referrals as appropriate.
Job Requirements
Required
Bachelor's Degree in exercise physiology, athletic training, kinesiology, or health and wellness promotion or related field or 1 - 3 years of related experience.
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through an American Heart Association provider.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days.
Requires use of moderately difficulty manipulative skills, and eye-hand coordination.
Must have entry level computer skills, good phone etiquette and good problem solving skills.
Preferred
Master's Degree.
