Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
Conduct title, zoning, and survey reviews, as well as other due diligence processes pertaining to property acquisition or leasing.
Prepare closing binders and ensure proper documentation for all completed transactions.
Handle communication with clients, vendors, and external counsel regarding legal aspects of real estate matters.
Research statutes, regulations, and case law as they pertain to commercial real estate issues.
Manage filing deadlines, compliance requirements, and document tracking to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal specifically handling commercial real estate matters.
Exceptional knowledge of legal terminology and processes related to real estate transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software systems.
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with acute attention to detail.
Candidates must be local to the DC Metro area to qualify for this hybrid role.
