CRST’s Specialized Solutions division is the carrier of choice for customers requiring on-site, high-touch, and specialized handling. We manage deliveries for a wide range of products for the tech, communications, electronics, and healthcare industries (and many more). Our experienced drivers safely load, unload, and set up products for consumers and companies.

Job Summary: Responsible for responding to and/or managing inquiries, complaints, and feedback from customer accounts. This may include providing support through various channels, such as in person, phone, email, or social media. They must be able to communicate effectively, understand the customer's needs, and provide solutions or information promptly. Additionally, they may need to collect and record customer data and maintain accurate records of customer interactions. The role requires problem-solving skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure. The focus is on building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and providing quality service that meets or exceeds their expectations. 

Location: Fort Wayne, IN - Onsite

Job Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am-6:00pm 

Compensation: $17.00 per hour. This is a fixed rate of pay for the role and is not negotiable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Scheduling appointments
Responding to emails in the customer service shared email boxes
Handle in and outbound phone calls from customers
Transfer loads to billing/Checking for required PPW for billing
Auditing service fail codes.
Cover AM’s when on PTO
Creating orders
Handling customer issues/concerns.
Reconcile edit error queue
Location master file management – adding directions, hours, contact info, etc.
Customer website management

CRST International is an American freight company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Founded in 1955 by Herald and Miriam Smith, it is a privately held company with a current fleet of about 4,500 trucks and annual revenues of $1.5 billion.

Our Roots

In 1955, Herald and Miriam Smith started Cedar Rapids Steel Transport out of a refurbished chicken coop they bought for $125.

At the time, they had no trucks and no customers, but Herald, known as “Smitty,” convinced firms he could save them money. He contracted with owner/operators who were hauling livestock to Chicago to return to the Cedar Rapids area with loads of steel instead of empty trucks.
