JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox & Friends is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented, and creative afternoon Freelance Producer to join the #1 national cable news program, Fox & Friends. As a Freelance Producer working in the afternoon, you will be responsible for producing compelling and dynamic segments the day before they air. We are looking for someone with excellent editorial judgment who can meet multiple daily deadlines and creatively and accurately tell a story with captivating video and graphics. You have a wide range of interests from news and politics to pop culture and everything else in between.

Create research packets
Pre-interview guests
Design graphics
Write and edit banners and scripts
Pitch stories, segments, and guests
Gather video and sound from press conferences and interviews
Edit video, sound, and packages for air
Participate in editorial decisions
Work closely with Senior Producers and Talent
Create an environment that fosters teamwork
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5+ years of newsroom experience and producing a television newscast Knowledge of current events and politics
Exceptional editorial and writing skills
Ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
Participate in daily team meetings
Excellent organizational and managerial skills
Decisive and skilled management
Willing to work weekends, early morning, and late nights
Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
