Job Description:
Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, the Radiation Therapy Technologist treats patients with ionizing radiation accurately and efficiently per physician’s prescription. Maintains the ability to instruct/demonstrate to radiation therapy students’ proper techniques for treatment of cancer patients. May assist with training of students and communication regarding students among all areas within cancer care services. May perform other duties relating to instructing and monitoring radiation therapy students.
Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes, or military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program required.
Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration required.
BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Aria and Varian linear accelerators preferred.
