Expand Energy is hiring Well Services Mechanics for our West Virginia locations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Repair, install, adjust and or maintain fracturing machinery systems in both the field and shop
Attach hoisting cables to pumps, transmissions, diesel engines, and other equipment at sites or shop for proper lifting
Troubleshoot, test and evaluate operation of machinery
Disassemble, clean, make repairs and text run all fracturing equipment
Inspect parts for defects. Installs specific new or reconditioned parts, such as relined brake bands and clutch plates, sprockets, pump cylinder, and other parts of engines and pumps
Test function of pumps and other mechanical units, using auxiliary power. Test-run engines at various speeds, observes efficiency of operations
Install repaired equipment at sites, observes operations, and readjusts components, as necessary. Maintain, repair, and install machinery and equipment at site, ensuring that all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, resulting in proper functionally and minimum failures
Perform quality checks along with preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot and text mechanic and electronic equipment according to company standards
Track and log all paperwork necessary as required
Call or email daily report on the performance of the job and any equipment repairs made or needed.

Work is performed out-of-doors, where exposure to atmospheric conditions of extreme heat or cold, fumes, and gases are frequent. Exposure to noise, vibration, high pressure, moving/mechanical parts, electrical shock, chemical and caustic materials is common in the normal performance of the duties associated with this position.
The work of this positions involves the frequent movement of up to 100 lbs. to lift, push, pull or carry equipment
Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Ability to move with equipment as necessary to perform mechanical job
Computer skills (Excel and Word preferred)
Must be skilled in the following:
• Pump maintenance
• Mechanical seal rebuilds
• Equipment alignments
• Gearbox repairs
• Fan and blower repairs
• Pipe fitting
• Safe use of shop tools
• Basic machining skills
• Basic welding skills
• Proper rigging knowledge
Education & Experience
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Associates degree in a related field or a Technical Certificate is also required
Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience with fracturing equipment
Additional Qualifications
Will be required to pass all pre-employment requirements including a physical demands and drug-screening test along with a thorough background and driving record check
Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends)
Ability to be on call 24 hours a day when needed
