We’re looking for an individual who can:

• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Detailed salary information:

• Weehawken: the salary range for this role is $120000 to $160000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Save, protect and grow team in Weehawken, NJ focusing on Advisory Portfolio Management business area. This area covers portfolio management, model management, trading and reconciliation. Our team is located across the globe and manages a significant percentage of AUM for UBS.

Your expertise

• an engineering degree (Bachelor/Master) with relevant experience in software product design & development
• excellent understanding of RDBMS Concepts, PL/SQL, Data Modelling and Data design
• hands on experience in query optimization
• working knowledge of PostgreSQL is a must
• experienced in ETL and ELT processing via tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• good knowledge of Azure environment, containerization concepts, cloud native development practices, Azure Wizard etc.
• excellent understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts (GitLab, TeamCity, Automated Testing, Pipelines, Ansible, Rex, Maven, IntelliJ, SONAR)
• excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on delivery experience in a pod setup
• good understanding of architectural and design standards, clean code and such practices
• exposure to Banking Domain will be a plus
• excellent communication skills and experience in liaising with other teams
• strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills taking initiative to drive things forward independently adopting principles
• hands-on experience in GitLab-facilitated software delivery
• should be able to work independently and deliver application products
