Job Description

Position Summary

The Manager Security Systems develops and maintains all physical security systems utilized at JetBlue Airways including access control systems, alarm systems, and digital Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) coverage.

Essential Responsibilities

Assess the physical facilities security needs at all JetBlue properties and ensures the appropriate installation, design of infrastructure and maintenance or project management of all security systems
Manage the daily operations of security systems including assigning JetBlue crewmembers appropriate access according to their assigned roles and responsibilities
Maintain comprehensive security system design specifications and standards by interacting with the Information Technology (IT) department and outside business partners
Develop and maintain enterprise-based access control and visitor management integrated systems
Recommends access control policies and procedures and ensures compliance with government standards regarding the issuance of Corporate ID media
Prepares and manages annual operational and capital budgets for all access control expenditures
Interface with government and airport authorities to ensure proper synergies and coordination regarding regulatory access control policies and procedures
Manage maintenance, repairs, etc. for Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment
Ensure adherence to all safety and security regulations
Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement    
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Network Administration or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
Five (5) years of experience in the administration of corporate or government access control systems
Three (3) years’ experience with integrated security systems encompassing access control, alarms and CCTV with global applications, including experience in working with blueprints and design drawings. Experience managing Avigilon, CCURE, LENEL, Indigo, etc.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet Explorer
Available for moderate overnight travel (50%) to domestic and international cities
In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically and coherently at various levels within the organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of organization & attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Network Administration or a related field
Proficient with Access/Egress and CCTV technologies
Strong leadership abilities
Effective interpersonal skills
Significant organizational and planning abilities in reading and/or preparing technical drawings and architectural proposals

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Medium physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
