PRODUCTION MANAGER
HEBRON, OH PLANT
As a member of the Production team, the Plant Production Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team coaches.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Enforces health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production of polyurethane foam cushions.
Confers with senior management to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Demonstrates equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints.
Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Develops budgets and issues requisitions for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
Reviews operations and confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve production problems.
Manage production areas to achieve plant objectives such as: Efficiency, productivity, zero rejects, delivery on time, 5s, customer satisfaction, SCRAP, safety, down time, deliveries, overtime.
Monitors the production run to make sure that it stays on schedule and correct any problems that may arise.
Devises ways to make the production process more efficient.
Recommends training programs or reorganization techniques for the manufacturing process.
Your Qualifications:
Five years of experience in a management or supervisory role in the Automotive Industry.
Minimum five years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of the various functions of an automotive plant such as maintenance, quality, production control, safety, quality, operations, and materials as needed to oversee and direct employees in these functions.
Bonus If You Have:
Possess knowledge of ISO14001, OSHA, and TS16949 requirements and compliance.
Previous experience working in Automotive Polyurethane Industry
