CRST’s Flatbed Solutions team delivers reliable and versatile flatbed trucking services across North America. From straightforward to complex transportation needs, our extensive network of agents and owner-operators with traditional and specialized flatbed trailers is equipped to handle it all. Whether it's long-haul, regional, or local, CRST has customers covered. With one of the nation’s largest fleets of side kits, we ensure cargo is protected from harsh conditions.

Job Summary: The Senior Agent Development Manager drives growth for the Flatbed Solutions network by sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding new agents and fleet owners while maintaining strong relationships.
Location: Work From Home – Great talent exists everywhere. Preferred talent will be located in Atlanta, Birmingham, or Chicago.
Travel Requirements: 40% – Meeting new prospects at least 2x/week across the U.S.
Compensation $82,000-$100,000/year Starting Wages + 10% Annual Incentive Plan

Key Responsibilities
Agent Recruitment and Onboarding: Prospect, qualify, and close new agents and fleet owners for the Flatbed Solutions network, including all equipment types (flatbeds, vans, etc.)
Pipeline Development: Develop individual pipelines to drive continued growth
Administrative Collaboration: Collaborate with administration to complete required paperwork, agreements, and forms for agent and fleet setup
Onboarding Oversight: Track onboarding progress to ensure smooth transitions
Revenue Goals: Recruit agents and fleet conversions to generate $2.9 million in the first 12 months and $3.8 million annually
External Relationships: Foster strong partnerships with agents and fleet owners
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
Prior agent and transportation experience required
Current experience actively engaging with agents within the last 12 months
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven success working with and maintaining an accurate customer relationship management (CRM) system, such as HubSpot
Demonstrated success managing a substantial book of business totaling several million dollars
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively and influence effectively
Collaborative thinker who enjoys brainstorming diverse ideas to benefit the team and optimize processes
Proactive risk-taker with a resilient and adaptable mindset, motivated by identifying opportunities and driving growth

CRST International is an American freight company based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Founded in 1955 by Herald and Miriam Smith, it is a privately held company with a current fleet of about 4,500 trucks and annual revenues of $1.5 billion.
Our Roots
In 1955, Herald and Miriam Smith started Cedar Rapids Steel Transport out of a refurbished chicken coop they bought for $125.
At the time, they had no trucks and no customers, but Herald, known as “Smitty,” convinced firms he could save them money. He contracted with owner/operators who were hauling livestock to Chicago to return to the Cedar Rapids area with loads of steel instead of empty trucks. Family-owned to this day, CRST has evolved from a trucking firm to one of the nation’s leading providers of transportation solutions.
