Overview

As a Trading Operations Developer, you will work as part of the GTS Market Access Technology team supporting our broad range of trading operations: US and global equities and derivatives, ETFs, fixed-income, OTC, FX, and more. This position will require a technically-adept and detail-oriented individual to work on supporting, automating, testing, debugging, documenting, and developing applications required for the business.

Responsibilities

Hour are 4:00 pm UTC -3 to 1:00 am UTC -3

Build out services required to expand trading activities to new strategies, venues, and products
Become familiar with proprietary technologies and improve their reliability and performance
Develop tools and procedures to improve all operations throughout the trade lifecycle (order entry, booking, reconciliation, clearing, reporting)
Support applications and trading workflows used by GTS’ global trading teams
Monitor backoffice systems and trading operations, resolving or escalating issues as necessary
Identify defects, discrepancies, and trends by debugging code or examining logs and database audits
Communicate and collaborate with development team on deployments, issue tracking, and debugging
Review code and manage technical documentation

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience operating in a Linux environment
Experience using SQL for sophisticated database queries
Strong Python coding skills
Fluency in English
Ability to problem solve in a development or production environment, including experience observing patterns, analyzing root cause and suggesting ideas to resolve issues
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of securities markets, market verticals, and exposure to industry regulations (e.g., CAT) is a PLUS
Experience with Docker, Airflow, and Grafana is a PLUS
