This team is responsible for developing the marketing strategy to succeed with our largest customers in our largest business segment. Your work in this role will have a tangible impact on Seagate’s success and your contribution will be highly visible.

About the role - you will:

As a Cloud Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in forecasting the hard disk drive demand of our largest market segment. In this exciting role, you will:

Maintain and Enhance Predictive Models: Work with and improve our predictive models to accurately forecast future storage demand in the CSP industry.
Research Demand Drivers: Identify and analyze the factors that drive CSP storage demand, seeking out correlated data sources.
Develop Innovative Forecasting Approaches: Create new methods and techniques to enhance the accuracy and reliability of our forecasts.
Identify New Information Sources: Seek out and integrate new data sources that can improve our forecasting models. 
Ensure Data Integrity: Conduct data validation by gathering inputs beyond procurement and technical resources to ensure accuracy and reliability. 
Support Strategic Decisions: Provide valuable insights that help management answer key questions and make informed strategic decisions.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various departments to align our strategies with market trends and customer needs.
Drive Innovation: Contribute to projects that shape the future of data storage solutions and the cloud industry.

Your experience includes:

Analytical Skills: Proven knowledge of analytic techniques and experience with tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, noSQL or similar.
Research Skills: Ability to identify and analyze new data sources and trends.
Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating insightful and impactful visual representations of data.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

You might also have:

Data Modeling Experience: Familiarity with predictive modeling and forecasting methods.
Programming: Proficiency with languages such as Python or R and associated libraries for data analytics and visualization.
Data Sourcing: Web-scraping to collect online data and large-scale database access.
