Job Title: Senior Maintenance Escalation Manager

Compensation: $63,236/yr. - $82,228/yr.

Location: Onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA (3930 16th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404)

Job Schedules Available: Monday to Friday (7A-4P or 8A–5P)

Job Summary: The Senior Maintenance Escalation Manager serves as a technical advisor to the external maintenance administrators and management staff. This role manages all escalations within the department including the escalations inbox, reviews and negotiates estimates and invoices, and provides trend analysis, coaching and data to management. They will ensure timely follow-ups, manage departmental costs, collaborate with team members and external vendors, and identify training programs to enhance efficiency and responsiveness. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical advisor to Maintenance Administrators, providing expert guidance and support, and act as a resource to the management team
Manage the escalations email inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to approval requests
Review and negotiate estimates and invoices with internal and external customers/vendors, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness
Make approvals based on established guidelines and industry knowledge, maintaining consistency and efficiency
Provide trend analysis and data to management, supporting informed decision-making
Identify and develop training programs and coaching as needed, ensuring team members are up-to-date on best practices and new equipment
Ensure timely follow-ups on all escalations and approvals, maintaining a high level of responsiveness
Manage costs for the department, negotiating with vendors and ensuring adherence to approval guidelines
Collaborate with team members responsible for all escalations, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process
Reduce downtime and streamline the approval process, enhancing overall efficiency
Mentor department staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge
Perform other duties as assigned
Regular and reliable attendance

Job Requirements:

Successful completion of a CRST background check and drug screen is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Maintenance, Estimation, approval and negotiation experience.
Experience in the transportation or automotive industry, particularly in escalation and invoicing/estimates.
