Description of Duties:
The Senior IT Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
The candidate will:
• Have Project Management experience in an environment and managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Have experience using Microsoft Project and know how to create, manage and update their detailed level schedule.
• Be comfortable interacting with various levels of internal and external customers.
• Have experience creating and supporting Project status and financial data in internal and external customer meetings.
• Have experience creating and managing SOWs with a variety of contract types and deliverable strategies.
• Be responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects specifically meeting cost and schedule targets.
• Apply Earned Value Management principles in the execution of their projects.
• Develop recovery plans for projects that are not achieving delivery date expectations. Candidate should have experience, pricing, and estimating proposed costs and costs to complete.
• Exhibit a cognitive ownership of their project deliverables and partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations.
• Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal teaming soft skills.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience.
• Must have 7 years of directly related experience.
• Must have 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles
• Must be PMP Certified.
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Requirements:
• Be ITIL Certified
• Have Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
• Have experience managing high dollar-value projects ranging in complexity
• Have experience managing geographically separated project teams
• Have experience managing projects in traditional waterfall and/or agile methodologies
• Have Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Domain knowledge
