SUMMARY
Working under the general supervision of the shipping and receiving supervisor, following specific procedures, performs a variety of duties to accomplish the shipment of all finished goods and the receipt of all purchased materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answer Phones
Greet visitors
Receive and sign for incoming freight
Check trucks in and out
Enter Shipping information on BOL’s PGI shipments
Verify product on truck and take pictures
Daily billing
Balance totals to bill, edit List
Prepare daily ship log to send out to CSR and AP
Prepare various spreadsheets regarding shipping
Safely and efficiently loads finished goods on trucks
Help with cycle counts and inventories
Maintain files (paper and computer) - customer, production, misc
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Plant Manager
Print daily loads for shipping
Book trucks to pick up daily loads
Set delivery appointment with customers
Check any problems with CT Logistics on payment of invoices
E-mail daily loads from plant to Logistics Manager
Inspect forklift in regards to safe operation and maintenance issues
Must operate forklift in a safe manner at all time
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience of Computer and Microsoft programs i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, 10-key. Must be able to perform basic math skills and multi-task. Previous customer service experience.

Frequent exposure, 20-50% of work time (noise, cold, heat, dust) or hazardous conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
