We have an exciting opportunity to join Texas Instruments as the Director of Data, AI/ML and Digital Platforms reporting directly to the Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations. This role leads 3 connected organizations: DevOps platforms, Data & AI/ML Platforms, and Data & AI/ML Application Engineering. This organization is responsible for end to end ownership and enablement of TI’s mature and emerging Data, AI/ML, and DevOps Tools.

This will be a senior leadership role with extensive knowledge of various data and AIML technology spanning TI’s entire enterprise. The candidate is expected to have demonstrated success in a leading world class engineering organization, building enterprise grade platforms/solution, and translating technology investment to business success.

This role will provide technical thought leadership across IT and lines of business to formulate and implement key technology and architecture decisions, foster and establish a strong engineering discipline, hire and build a strong engineering organization.

Responsibilities Include:

Technology Strategy

Partner with senior leaders and technologists to create/drive our technology and data platforms strategy, with an emphasis on the future of AI all areas of the business.

Develop and refine the technical roadmap, technology investments, and ensuring alignment with business output.

Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.

Compliance and Security

Lead with a Security focus, helping protect TI data as a foundation of solutions.

Ensure technology processes comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.

Establish, communicate, and enforce clear IT guidelines and policies (e.g., user access, security, support, device configuration) based on industry best practices.

Identify and eliminate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security.

Ensure the continual functioning, security, and privacy of critical operations, systems, and applications.

Organizational Strategy

Lead multiple organizations looking for opportunities to reduce friction, increase efficiency and collaboration, while driving execution.

Set multi-year organization strategy including investment levels and needed skillsets.

Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, collaboration, and excellence within the team.

Competency

Deep understanding of technology trends, best practices, and the market's technology landscape.

Experience driving digital transformation initiatives and implementing data-driven decision-making.

Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights for informed decision making.

Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.

The ability to construct easily consumable messaging across a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to navigate complex technology landscapes and align technology initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, or related field.

5 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of data and AIML ecosystem, technology, and industry best practice including data engineering, data warehousing technology, and DevOps

Excellent organizational skills, analytic capabilities, and attention to detail, with experience translating complex analytics into digestible stories.

Demonstrated experience and success in partnering with business and delivering business critical data success

Great teamwork, “can do” attitude, exemplified ownership/accountability
