As a Managed Services Microsoft 365 Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales growth specifically for the Microsoft 365 managed services practice within CDW's account base. Primarily working with CDW sales team (including Account Managers, Presales and Account Executives) and delivery team (including Engineers and Engagement Managers), you will need to develop pipeline and close sales by delivering the best price for the customer, while maintaining profitability. Once a sale closes, assist the delivery team by client ensuring a smooth transition and onboarding of clients into CDW Managed Services ecosystem.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Attain sales quota objectives
Conduct high level conversations and training sessions
Consistently build and deliver on account and opportunity pipeline
Drive sales and profitability
Follow-up and qualify leads
Generate new business opportunities to grow pipeline
Identify key decision makers and manage the sales process
Negotiate pricing and close business
Onboard new clients (ensure warm handoff from sales to delivery)
Collaborate with account managers on planning, orchestration, and execution of opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
Regularly reporting on sales performance and providing insights to inform sales strategies and tactics.
Staying up to date with product knowledge, industry developments, and sales techniques to continuously improve performance.
Estimated Essential Function Time Allocation:
60% Sales: identify and qualify sales leads, create sales collateral, conduct meetings to sell services, identify client requirements, map managed services scope to client needs, perform pricing, finalize contracts, close business
10% coordinate with other CDW departments (Marketing, PPM, Operations, Delivery) to better align efforts
10% assist with training efforts
20% Onboard new clients and assist with delivery related tasks
Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications
Must have 2+ years technology services sales experience
High School Diploma
Required Qualifications
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Able to communicate technical concepts and business solutions
Able to demonstrate proven track record of successful sales experience and quota attainment
Able to successfully build and execute plans
Able to build strong successful long-term relationships, with both Clients and internal teams
Strong Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Intune, Purview, Defender)
Understanding of the Microsoft, on-premises, hybrid and cloud software and services portfolio, across the entire Microsoft stack, including Azure, Power Platform, Data solutions, AI, and Security solutions, along with different Cloud governance models
Motivated seller with strong problem-solving skills
Able to work in a fast-paced complex environment
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years technical sales experience
3+ years of working on Microsoft 365 service projects (delivery, operations) focused on Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, OneDrive for Business, Purview, Defender
Microsoft 365 Certifications
Experience working with commercial, education, healthcare, and government Clients
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration
