Job Description

Lead, coach and train employees in operational logistics areas in facility and offsite warehouses.
Perform EHS, 6S and LPA Audits
Detect, correct and escalate abnormalities
Collect, report and monitor KPI's
Ensure best practices are implemented and adhered to
Manage department and shift staffing to ensure appropriate resources are available
Support inventory accuracy
Create standardized work
Interface between Focus Factory Managers, Operational Logistics and Planning as well as other departments
Monitor FIFO, rack availability, and truckloads
Support calculation of warehouse space and layout when needed for new product trials and launches as scheduled
Lead continuous improvement activities in the department
Support weekly manpower scheduling, interviewing and hiring as needed

Degree in Industrial Engineering with focus on logistics or comparable 

Experience in warehouse techniques and logistics processes

Familiarity with purchasing, quotations and shop floor manufacturing processes

3-5 years experience in a high volume manufacturing facility (automotive industry experience preferred)

Skilled in inventory management; proficient in SAP & Microsoft Office

Strong leadership skills, engagement of workforce, and conflict resolution abilities
