The Role at a Glance

Lincoln National Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Openings) in Radnor, PA. Design and implement best in business Group Protection Claims Solutions with Lincoln's Claims and Group Protection Businesses, which includes claims adjudication. Provide governance of technical and business best practices for GP and help to remove roadblocks. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science and engineering, such as Angular 2+ or React.js. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities using microservice design and RESTful web services. Help the effectiveness of individuals and teams through coaching, improving engineering practices, standards, and innovation. Practice and drive engineering practices such as DevOps, 12-factor design, and independent architecture in an Agile environment. Understand the technology roadmap and how it ties back to work being executed on.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related IT field; 

5 years of experience developing applications in a Java or Spring Boot framework for Group Protection insurance and/or dental insurance; 
5 years of experience with microservice design and RESTful web services to enhance scalability and speed and modernize technology; 
5 years of experience in Angular 2+ or React.js maintaining, enhancing, and securing front-end user experience; 
5 years of experience driving operations and collaborating to support the software development cycle using at least three of the following tools: Atlassian, Tomcat, Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence, New Relic, or Slack; and 
3 years of experience with working within a fully dedicated Agile team.
