Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, providing technical support for maintenance and operations, designing, and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical components and systems, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, troubleshooting pumping systems, assisting with set up of preventative and predictive maintenance programs by applying engineering principles and practices and demonstrating high level of project management leadership.

Design and implementation of new systems and modification of existing equipment
Improve production and maintenance processes, keeping accurate documentation for all improvements in the area of responsibility.
Provide technical expertise with regard to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Failure analysis/troubleshooting
Work in cooperation with other departments or teams
Must be willing and able to travel throughout the US 70% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
5+  years of experience in a Manufacturing industry or related experience.
Experience with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works or Inventor

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the Heavy Equipment industry.
Demonstrated problem solving techniques and root cause identification.
Demonstrated project management skills and experience.

The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.

The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
