Leads Mill team in adoption of Training Strategy, System Management, and Deployment of training programs and practices for operational capability and adherence to required / regulatory training as applicable. This role will provide day-to-day work direction for the site training team along with teaching, coaching, and mentoring other site team members. Actively pursues and supports standard training solutions across the site and within the Kimberly-Clark Profession, referred to as KCP, Global Manufacturing Team.
This position will manage the overall mill training program and local training team, have overall accountability for compliance to KCP training framework standards and execution of the KCP training strategy. This position serves as a member of the KCP Training Network team.
In this role, you will:
·Lead the capability and training program to positively impact the manufacturing team’s results, unleashing the full engagement and enablement of all team members in the mills.
·Develop and manage site annual plan in connection with KCP Operations Training strategies and priorities.
·Align and influence resource allocation to execute the Mill Capability Building strategy.
·Ensure compliance and execution of KCP training standards
·Participate in the development and improvement of KCP standards and annual check/adjust process.
·Regularly assess the health of the training system and its effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
·Provide strategic and tactical leadership to build the capability of the site training team by providing work expectations, guidance, and coaching to address ongoing barriers to delivery
·Manages team performance by setting objectives, conducing reoccurring 1:1s and executing performance reviews.
·Define and coach mill training team in their efforts to provide education on training tools, processes, and techniques to manufacturing site personnel as needed
·Participate in the development on the 3-5year KCP Operations Training Strategy
·Ensure execution of the on-the-job (OJT) trainer program to support training needs and increase employee engagement, including train-the-trainer, trainer requirements and qualifications, reporting structure and recognition plan.
·Manage mill training budget (if applicable).
·Maintain information and communications with mill leadership team and mill employees on training program functions, improvements, and opportunities
·Manage relationships with third party vendors for training and development (internal and external 3rd party vendors).
·Ensure effective training materials and records are developed and maintained in mill document control system
·Develop and implements activities that build rapport between the training team and other site personnel and improves the culture within in the mill where training is seen as a value.
·Lead and/or participate in KCP training projects as assigned.
·Actively engage in benchmarking and sharing of best practices with other mills and training leaders/resources.
·Champion ongoing improvements and new practices; is an innovator and encourages innovation in others
·Travel up to 15%
