We are currently seeking a Sr. Engineer I –Engineering Lab Supervisor to join our Vapor Development team in Middleton, WI.
What you will be doing:
Leading a team of lab technicians and specialists in performing mechanical and electrical engineering tasks, which includes mentorship, hiring, and performance evaluations.
Performing, training, and/or validating lab test methods that pertain to mechanical, electrical, or chemical evaluations.
Supporting Operations and Quality in continuous improvement activities.
Handling the test lab resources, workload, and priorities. Coordinating with engineering project leaders to assess lab needs, capacity, and timing.
Coordinating and performing robust test schedules to support engineering qualifications.
Tracking lab work and communicating outputs to project partners.
Improving lab infrastructure and capabilities. Researching and finding opportunities for new test methods.
Overseeing inventory of components and test equipment. Coordinating gauge validations and calibrations.
The position is in Middleton, WI, but will require frequent travel to Baraboo, WI (up to 40%).
We want you to have:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or technical management field (engineering, electronics, chemistry, engineering management, etc.). Advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
3+ years’ experience in a technical lab environment. 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Strong proficiency in computer applications including Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio is required. Preferred experience in statistical software such as Minitab and/or modeling software such as SOLIDWORKS, etc.
Strong technical leadership and task management skills with attention to detail and ability to ensure team meets goals and timelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and present status updates or results to engineering project leaders.
Ability to effectively organize, set, and communicate team deliverables to department heads.

Total Rewards
The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $86,200.00 - $125,050.00 / annually.
