This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking a candidate for the role of Procurement Analyst, Planner. This role will be located at our Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This individual will manage the planning activities for the global supplier quality and development team, including creating operational reports.
They will also be responsible for leading special projects to support and drive our transformation. Domestic travel of upwards of 20% is required in this role to visit both suppliers and our Midwest manufacturing sites.
Your responsibilities will include
Supplier Quality Cost Recovery process management for the North American Region;
Run the supplier quality global planning process connecting supplier quality needs with project scoping;
Conduct resource planning analysis for projects to meet targets;
Manage special continuous improvement projects to drive transformation strategy;
Report operational budget for the Global Supplier Quality team;
Create relationships with critical suppliers and our Whirlpool manufacturing locations in the Midwest
20% Domestic Travel
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years’ of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering
Financial Management and forecasting;
Demonstrate practical use of supplier management and sourcing principles
Negotiation, conflict resolution, and management skills
Build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
Analytical and related computer skills
Manage and prioritize multiple activities
Driven individual with a vision and work ethic required for future growth
Six Sigma certification
