Facilities Technical Lead/Plant Shared Services Leader

Job Description

The Facilities Technical Lead is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities at the site are safe and well-functioning. The facilities Technical Lead is expected to lead best value facilities solutions for projects, initiatives, and site masterplan through facilities mastery, project management and engineering leadership. In a day-to-day capacity, the facilities Technical Lead will engage with key partners such as civil, structural, and architectural engineering and construction firms to meet the Green Bay site needs, ensure compliance with P&G requirements, and deliver the Facilities vision. Additionally, as the PSSL (Plant Shared Services Leader), the individual plays a key role in defining the site strategy and roadmap through partnering with the Site Leadership Team. The PSSL is also the “On Site Service Manager” who continuously looks for ways to drive out losses and improve all current services, representing and positioning the service and service strategies with Plant Leadership, and is the E2E service owner driving the highest level of quality.

Role Responsibilities:

Facilities Tech Lead

Comply with all safety requirements and expectations (safety trainings completion, safety meetings attendance, monthly safety audits, safety work processes, injury free during role….).
Establish and grow relationships with Green Bay plant colleagues, external engineering companies, and equipment suppliers. Stay engaged with industry practices, engineering methods, and low-cost approaches to help achieve the site Capital Spending and TDC reduction goals.
Maintain a working understanding of and ensure buildings and facilities are compliant with external government and company regulations.
Provide all necessary facility support to maintain plant daily operations.
Provide facility engineering coaching and direction for site projects during feasibility, conceptual, definition, detail design, construction, and startup phases.
Ensure that the site property drawing record is maintained and accurate.
Act as the point of contact for all facilities and hard services related issues.
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences. Required to be a point of contact out of regular hours when required.
Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment. Preparing RFQ’s and managing contractors to complete activities

PSSL

Integrate FSP Fully into the Plant – by connecting the FSP directly to the CBN and partnering with Plant Leadership to outline a master plan that delivers true value to the site. Plant Shared Services should be fully integrated with the plant financial processes to deliver as much value as possible to the bottom line. The PSSL should be in-touch with plant community, be visible (walk the floor), and be able to influence the success of the services within the plant. The PSSL should also take a leadership role in integrating with key plant activities such as IWS, security (FSO), and safety.
Deliver Service/Operational Excellence – by leveraging daily management systems/operational governance to ensure in-process and outcome operational measures are at target, and to quickly identify/quantify losses and partner with the appropriate Plant Shared Service Teams to systemically eliminate. The PSSL should be in touch and able to confirm with the end user that our services are delivering a great end user experience, as well as supporting key stewardship activities.
Drive Value Creation – by leveraging the expertise of shared service suppliers, along with PS mastery, to deliver a portfolio of value that consistently meets and exceeds the plant’s firm commitment. The PSSL will demonstrate strong ownership of savings commitment and will look for share and re-apply opportunities to help their peers deliver their commitments.
Enable Speed of Adoption - of Shared Service programs by ensuring clarity of deployment, training and education of plant personnel, tracking and score-carding of service delivery and proper feedback for problem resolution. PSSLs are expected to be highly proficient at leveraging the network to accelerate problem solving and drive value.

Job Qualifications

To be considered for this role, interested individuals MUST meet the following criteria:

3-5 Years of Prior Experience
Highschool Diploma (or Equivalent)
Technical Skills - A demonstrated desire, thirst, and passion to develop and maintain deep technical mastery in all facilities-related disciplines.
Agility and learning – A demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, and responsive to change. Capability to set direction, simplify complex technical issues, communicate them to management and drive alignment.
Service Leadership - This role will require the ability to set and deliver program direction; establish, track and deliver goals and measures. Able to build and accelerate trust between plant customers/process owners and service providers.
Builds Diverse, Collaborative Relationships & Partnerships – Works well with internal and external resources and collaborates across boundaries (suppliers and plants),and creates an atmosphere of trust and mutual support.
In Touch and Effective Communication – Stays closely connected with site leadership, listens well and communicates clearly, transparently, concisely and on a timely basis with plant customers. Comfortable with dealing with conflict and issue resolution.
Collaboration – A demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners with focus on gathering inputs, leading best value solutions, and facilitating projects execution.
