What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will join the 2nd Shift F-16 Mate team, playing a pivotal role in supporting all stages of aircraft program lifecycles. Working within the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) discipline, you'll be responsible for developing manufacturing plans, supporting full-rate production, and facilitating post-delivery sustainment and modification activities. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll ensure the efficient production of our various platforms while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and refine manufacturing plans to optimize efficiency and ensure alignment with program requirements and objectives.

- Provide support for full-rate production standup, including process optimization, tooling development, and production line layout.

- Collaborate with design engineering, quality engineering, and other disciplines to address production challenges and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

- Coordinate with shop floor personnel to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing plans and processes.

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and production personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

- Conduct regular reviews of manufacturing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of professional experience, 3 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or 10 years of experience in the absence of a bachelors degree

Experience with technical principles, theories and concepts, in a related field

Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling

Experience with interpreting structural and systems engineering drawings

Experience working corrective action and process improvements

Desired Skills:

5+ years previous manufacturing/operations engineering experience

Strong project/time management skills

Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations

Self-motivated, performs work with the general direction
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel

Background and working knowledge of tool design and tooling issues

Ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions
