Appliance Repair Technician

Job Description
As an Appliance Repair Technician, you’ll visit our clients’ homes to repair appliances such as washers, dryers, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, microwaves and refrigerators. You’ll provide a seamless customer experience by giving advice on products and services. This will include performing complex work, evaluating the severity of device issues and de-escalating difficult client interactions as needed.
What you’ll do
Fulfill appointments, both individually and as the leader of a two-person crew
Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs
Explain to clients how to use their appliances properly
Manage an accurate record of all parts used to repair, replace or maintain appliances
Provide feedback and training opportunities to your team
Basic qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old
Current, valid driver’s license
Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g., minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)
Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire
Able to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help
1 year of experience as an appliance repair technician or similar role
Preferred qualifications
Customer service experience, including resolution of complex issues
