If you are selected as the Senior Pipeline and Riser Engineer in the Global Technical Functions organization, you will provide subject matter expertise and support to Operations, Facility Engineering and Project functions pertaining to onshore, offshore and subsea pipeline and riser engineering. The focus will be on supporting safe and reliable Global Upstream Operations and Capital Projects, industry engagement and technology development.

Job Description
Responsibilities may include:
Provide fit-for-purpose expertise in the area of pipelines (offshore and onshore) and riser (dynamic and static), related to operations, engineering and projects for fixed and floating assets operated by our company and partners
Collaborate with Global assets to solve technical problems related to existing fixed and floating assets operated by our company and partners
Provide technical support to pipeline and riser- related integrity management and operating activities
Work closely with project teams and contract engineering companies to support ConocoPhillips projects and operational teams
Foster and engage in technology development and projects, including low carbon requirements (Hydrogen, CO2 Transportation)
Participate in technology development, including monitoring JIPs that our company participates, as well as in-house technology development and R&D programs
Provide training and learning development related to pipeline and riser operations, engineering, and projects
Demonstrate and support cultural development and SPIRIT values in day-to-day business approach
Basic/Required:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Current/valid passport with no restrictions to international travel
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
10+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry
10+ years of experience in production, midstream, subsea engineering, or relevant field
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time on an annual basis
Preferred:
Experience in the operation and projects related pipelines and risers
Experience in managing a wide range of projects from initiation to delivery
Experience in integrity management, Fitness-for-Service assessment, failure analysis, quality. Inspection, troubleshooting and problem solving of pipeline and riser systems
Detailed knowledge and use of industrial pipeline and riser related standards (e.g., API, ASME, DNV, ISO)
In-depth knowledge of flexible pipe for static and dynamic application following API 17J and 17B
Knowledge of low-carbon technologies and their application in the oil and gas industry
Actively communicates and takes time to safely perform work to protect people and the environment
