The Production Planner Analyst will have the main responsibility for creating and adjusting the production schedule.  The incumbent will work with all departments to create a schedule that meets the demands of all aspects and partners within the facility.  In addition, the incumbent will also have responsibilities maintaining third party sales products internally and collaborating with external partners to drive improvements in third party sales. Furthermore, the incumbent will collect and manage metrics performance data for the production, planning, and other department support functions.  This is an onsite role.

Main Responsibilities

Production Scheduling:

Responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various departments within a manufacturing plant to ensure that materials, equipment, and labor are available when needed.
Maintain dates and release process orders in ERP system to extended warehouse management for staging.  Collaborate with the extended warehouse functions on expectations and priorities.
Analyze Production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvements.
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure that production schedules align with overall business goals and objectives.  Collaborate with engineering to schedule planned maintenance.
Provide input to Senior Supply Planning Manager on planning and forecasting to optimize resource utilization.  Prepare short term capacity data for S&OP based on S4 resources.
Cycle count inventory items maintained in Production IM locations in new ERP system.

Co-Product Management: 

Maintain and combine batches in ERP system for third party sales. Notify external partners when products are ready for external sales.
Collaborate with external business partners to drive sales of third-party product sales.
Collaborate with external business partners and recommend additional supplier opportunities for co-product sales.

Data Analytics: 

Performance Monitoring: Optimize the performance of business applications and identify areas for improvement. Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data to provide insights and recommendations to improve organizational performance. The analyst will work closely with Production, Planning, and support departments (Maintenance, Logistics, Finance, Technical) to identify key performance indicators and develop reports that track progress towards achieving organizational goals. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate metrics data to stakeholders.
Sales Analysis and Customer Segmentation: Deep dive analysis of sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.  Utilize data to develop systems to determine changes in sales. Utilize RE data completed by the Supply Planning Senior Manager to determine regional and customer specific trends to reduce product waste resulting from low or negative turnover.
Data Maintenance: Maintain planning master data in the ERP system.  Collaborate with Materials Planner and Supply Planning Senior Manager to determine and adjust master data based on inventory analysis.  Input master data for new products and ingredients.

Other responsibilities:

Connect with Flavor Manufacturing-Wexford periodically to align capacity and data analytics.
Back up Materials Planner for Out of Office events.
Collaborate with various departments to implement continuous improvements projects.
Ensure department training requirements are met. 
Support the Integrated Management System through active participation in internal audits (KORE or ISO requirements, 5S program).
Ensure all processes under this role’s responsibilities are properly documented to ensure a standard approach that could be improved with time.
Actively participate in the daily communication center and provide input or share information when necessary.

Educational Background:

University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or any technical related field.
Master’s in Business Administration degree is considered a plus.
APICS certification is considered a plus.

Experience and Critical Knowledge:

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Proficient in excel.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for extracting insights from large datasets.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and how it relates to the procurement process.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and strategic thinking skills, with ability to navigate and prioritize multiple conflicting demands.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, listening, teamwork and building value-based relationships.
Ability to make decisions based on Analytical results.
Key skills include long and short-term planning. Organizing, leading change, influencing and communicating widely.
Considered a plus: Quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) experience and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Demonstrated interaction with senior managers (Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, etc.).

Working Conditions

Normal manufacturing plant/office working conditions apply. This position is subject to the hazards and risks of a food manufacturing plant and its working environment.

Travel Requirements

The position is based in Apopka, Florida. Business travel seldom occurs.
