Specific Responsibilities

The Production Foreman for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Onshore Production Operations at the company’s Garden City, TX office reporting to the Area Operations Manager.

The role of the Production Foreman is to maintain, repair and trouble shoot all surface equipment and facilities in the given area of responsibility.  This includes a combination of well sites, flowlines, transfer lines, trunk lines, high pressure gas lines, test facilities, central processing facilities, SWD facilities, water injection facilities, compression skids, caliche pits, caliche roads, paved roads and site reclamation.  The goal of the Production Foreman is to reduce downtime of all forms while ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and safe for the operators while maintaining focus on operating cost.  This role requires site supervision training and the ability to manage multiple contract services and crews.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

•    Must possess a detailed knowledge of surface equipment to diagnose problems and provide recommendations for equipment type and design considerations and repair or replacement. 
•    Be familiar with design and operation of facility equipment and assist other personnel in problem solving
•    Track AFE costs and LOE costs and report progress to the Functional Leads.
•    Identify and eliminate repetitive tasks and procedures that can be simplified or delegated
•    Be familiar with applicable industry construction standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, OSHA, etc.
•    Supervise, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities. 
•    Operate in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
•    Must be able to legally operate a vehicle and have the ability to wear respirator protection and personal protective equipment as required.
•    Be a subject matter expert on facility process flow.
•    Review invoices and daily tickets such that Apache is receiving full value for services rendered
•    Evaluate contractor performance and take appropriate corrective action when warranted.
•    Assist operations personnel with troubleshooting and proper operation of facilities.
•    Communicate with appropriate Apache personnel and contractors as needed for efficient execution of the construction project.
•    Identify top performing contractors in terms of cost, job performance, and reliability
•    Direct contractor’s activities to ensure the most efficient use of labor and materials
•    Be familiar with Apache Supervisor’s Safety and Health Compliance and State Environmental Compliance Manuals and ensure that these policies are followed on each job
•    Maintain functional relationships across the organization.
•    Participate in industry functions and portray a positive image for Apache
•    Safeguard all company assets
•    Be familiar with Apache Facility Construction Standards and apply to all construction projects.
•    Review all repair procedures and methods to ensure that safety hazards and environmental impact(s) are minimized
•    Be familiar with Apache’s MOC process and when to apply to construction work.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

•    10 or more years of relevant industry and leadership experience is required.
•    High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
•    Must be safety minded and goal oriented with related industry experience.
•    Excellent time management and prioritization skills
•    Good written and oral communication skills
•    Proficiency with PC-based computer applications
•    Knowledge of safe working procedures
•    Attention to detail
•    Construction experience preferred
•    Occasionally may be required to lift, carry, push or pull 10-100 pounds
•    Occasionally may require squatting, crawling and climbing
•    Frequently may require bending, reaching above shoulders, reaching to the floor, reading, writing, working at heights and working around moving machinery
•    Frequently exposed to marked changes in weather conditions including temperature and humidity
•    Continuously exposed to dust, fumes and gases
•    Continuously works independently without supervision and requires quick or important decision making
•    Job is classified as including medium physical work.
