The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

EHS|PS Systems provide information systems and business process support in the EHS space to 3M business units and international subsidiaries.  The group delivers technology-enabled solutions that help 3M EHS staff across the globe achieve their goals and meet regulatory needs.  In this role you will develop new technical solutions for the EHS and regulatory community, work on enhancements to existing solutions, and be part of the future direction of systems for global EHS and Product Stewardship initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Working closely with EHS regulatory staff to determine applicable system changes as regulatory landscapes evolves over time.
Leading critical projects and define project level scope/timelines together with IT teams.
Accountable for owning software deliverables and proven ability to meet the deadlines
Partner with IT Security, Compliance & Cloud COE teams to design and implement secure applications
Leverage Agile, CI/CD and DevOps methodologies to deliver high quality product on-time
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing systems and platforms.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and able to handle multiple conflicting priorities

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Experience developing commercial software using Object Oriented Technologies
Experience with Database/Data Warehouse
Experience with SQL Databases
Experience with Java, JavaScript, or other object-oriented languages
Experience in version control systems, such as Subversion (SVN), CodeCommit or Git
Experience working with Agile Software development methodology
Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Self-motivated, highly productive and result-oriented in team-based environments

Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work, but require travel to Maplewood site)
