Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a RAN/E2E Network Performance Staff Engineer, you will be the 5G Wireless End to End Service Measurement KPI Expert in Dish Wireless to interpret network performance, map with customer experience.  and drive DISH 5G service performance and customer experience enhancement.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Responsible for identifying RAN KPIs for monitoring end user experience, E2E service performance, RAN network health, network capacity, and operational efficiency, and developing/maintaining real-time KPI dashboards for comprehensive RAN performance monitoring, while proactively identifying areas for improvement and providing root cause analysis (RCA).
Providing end-to-end troubleshooting expertise for 5G E2E networks, diagnosing issues across the entire network spectrum, with a focus on cloud-based (AWS, VMware)  ORAN RAN interfaces and E2E signaling protocols analysis (ex: RRC, NGAP, RTP/RTCP, SIP, Diameter, GTP) using vendor-specific logs/traces and probing systems (RADCOM).
Rive RAN performance and E2E customer experience service enhancement plans in collaboration with Market/National RF, RAN and Core engineering teams, proposing E2E parameter/timer tuning actions, architectural changes, and driving RAN vendor and RIC feature development to improve customer experience and Quality of Experience (QoE).
Lead Benchmarking efforts to highlight the performance of Dish Wireless network vis-a-vis other mobile networks based on various Quality of Service (QoS) parameters laid down by the business. Develop and publish recommendations on areas where Dish Wireless must focus to improve customer experience.
Actively engage in Big Data Analytics using Python, R, and Tableau to leverage AI/ML operational modeling, detect service and performance anomalies, automate routine tasks, and efficiently monitor network services for zero-touch network performance management

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Wireless Systems Engineering.

10+ years of experience in mobile networks related experience, with a deep knowledge of 5G/4G (including VoNR/VoLTE) technologies.
Proficiency in all aspects of RAN  Network performance management and optimization.A demonstrated track record of improving RAN network and E2E service performance in wireless networks.
Comprehensive knowledge of voice and data services E2E call flows for both voice and data calls.
A strong understanding of 5G ORAN standards, including protocol stacks, network architecture, and interfaces.
A deep understanding of 3GPP protocol stack, ORAN specifications  and telecom industry standards (TMF, ETSI, 3GPP, TOSCA Orchestration modeling)
Deep understanding and experience with cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Transport network experience is a plus, with the ability to monitor transport network performance and analyze transport and switching related issues impacting service availability and customer experience.
Good understanding of full lifecycle management of technology in wireless networks 
Good understanding of mobile network operator and deployment architecture, and security requirements
Candidate must have a strong written and oral communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities
