This position will work virtual/remote. The ideal candidate will reside in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama or Georgia.

The Truterra – Costal and Southern US Account Manager will be responsible for implementing the overall vision and strategy of Truterra with member owners, while providing leadership and insights to management of all levels to assigned accounts in the western regions and their teams to strive for the following core outcomes:

• Partner with farmers and ag retailers to promote natural resources, sustainability, and farm profitability (ROI).

• Collaborate and coordinate with WinField United on an integrated products and services offer for the member owner retailers.
• Drive importance and value of sustainability through our member owner retailers while helping them develop a sustainability strategy within.

• Collaborate with member owner retailers to design and implement stewardship services offerings for farmers for strategic crops, technologies, and products.
• Encompass technology and innovative thinking to drive productivity and stronger environmental outcomes.
• Provide a path for a sustainable food system which supports a more connected relationship between consumers and farmers.

Strive to understand ecosystem services markets and sustainable opportunities for farmers and retailers alike.

The Truterra – Costal and Southern Account Manager will work collaboratively with peers across the organization, actively engaging them, also keeping stakeholders informed. This person will lead the process in implementing Truterra throughout the owner’s business and serve as a key strategic partner advocating for sound science, economics, policy (where applicable), and communications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Cultivate relationships with key owners to drive sustainability forward.
Create a focused, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and sustainable strategy plan with goals to be implemented within the assigned accounts. 
Capitalize on opportunities and manage risks. Create opportunities to develop sustainability partnerships within assigned territory.
Collaborate with senior staff at assigned accounts to manage delivery of outcomes as defined by the program vision.
Effectively communicate program achievements, progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders, senior leadership, and other internal and external audiences
Work with the Truterra team, marketing & communications, and other expert leaders to create momentum within the industry, agriculture, governmental and advocacy circles for the cause of driving a connection for sustainable agriculture throughout the entire food supply chain.   
Represent the organization externally, making public presentations as requested and engaging and building relationships with outside stakeholders to keep them apprised of progress on agriculture sustainability issues.

Education:  

Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent work experience required 
Bachelor’s degree or higher in agriculture, environmental studies, or communications preferred 

Experience: 

Five or more years of sales/marketing experience required
Ability to travel up to 50%   required 
Ag background preferred
Experience with agricultural retail industry preferred
Demonstrated experience with, or interest in, conservation agronomy preferred
