Description

Facilitate the acquisition of materials and services for an assigned group of categories and suppliers using a standardized process in support of the Polar Tankers business unit while ensuring alignment with Company standards and mitigating risk.

Job Description

Your responsibilities may include:

Leading the procurement and purchasing process from cradle to grave through the utilization of the ABS Nautical Systems (NS5 Enterprise) & SAP platforms while maintaining alignment with the Corporate Supply Chain Standard and Polar Tankers Procurement Policies & Procedures
Detailed review of all requisitions
RFx: conducting the bidding/tendering process, evaluating bids, selecting suppliers, contracting with suppliers
Ensuring supplier payment and verifying invoice accuracy while facilitating timely resolution of discrepancies
Documenting in a clear and concise manner detailed updates and actions on orders in NS5/SAP to ensure proper alignment and communication with remote vessel personnel
Deliver Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and services
Utilizing system tools and capabilities to expedite material deliveries
Coordinating with Vendor Master team and supplier in creating new vendor setups in SAP
Monitoring, documenting, and leading supplier performance
Effectively communicating with suppliers and client groups through clear and concise communication and documentation
Identifying and participating in continuous improvement and market intelligence practices to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.
Integrating plans and schedules with business needs to enable on time execution
Audit Compliance & Reporting
Participating in Annual External American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Audit to ensure compliance with all U.S. Coast Guard and ABS Guidelines and Requirements
Maintaining monthly accrual report and conducting research on orders to validate proper accrual per Polar Tankers Guidelines
Maintaining report and actioning material items that require tracking and expediting
Maintaining report and actioning services items that require tracking and completing
Maintaining report and resolving issues on open invoices
Maintaining report and actioning resolution of open items on outstanding REQs

Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
1+ years of experience in supply chain/procurement
Intermediate proficiency in MS O365 applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain, business, or related technical discipline, or foreign equivalent
3+ years of experience in supply chain/procurement
3+ years of upstream oil and gas experience
1+ years of experience in marine supply chain/procurement
1+ years of experience with ABS Nautical Systems (NS5 Enterprise)
Intermediate proficiency with GEP and SAP
