This position will be with Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Company in Omaha, NE. The hours will be betweem 8am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. 16-25 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer based on the applicant's class schedule.
What will you do?
Perform tasks related to data preparation for analytic projects and/or product implementation
Setup and formatting of pricing and/or reserving reports
Testing and troubleshooting pricing and product implementation
Learn fundamental concepts of insurance
Gain an understanding of actuarial roles and responsibilities
Gain familiarity with basic actuarial tools including Excel and SQL Server.
What are we looking for?
Sophomore, junior, or senior
Major in mathematics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent
Basic familiarity with MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Attention to detail
Excellent grammar, proofreading, and written communication skills
