As a Scientist, you will be contributing to various studies and be responsible for delivering pre-clinical and clinical data analysis. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…

•             Be responsible for developing cell assays.

•             Testing of pre-clinical study samples.

•             You will contribute to on-going efforts in investigating biology/analytical platforms.

•             Embedding of innovative cell analysis platforms into the department.

•             Deliver, interpret and communicate complex scientific data to project/program teams.

•             Expand knowledge of complex industry analysis software to enable discovery modernization.

•             Engagement with Clinical Research Organization (CRO) partners to deliver key pre-clinical and clinical data.

•             Testing of pre-clinical study samples from multiple animal models covering multiple Discovery Performance Units (DPUs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of immunological assays, such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays, to evaluate the immune responses induced by vaccine candidates.

• Work collaboratively with the MAPS vaccine discovery and development teams to design and interpret experiments to support candidate selection and optimization.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data with accuracy and attention to detail. Present findings to the project team and contribute to the preparation of scientific reports.

• Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records. Ensure compliance with GSK's quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

BSc in Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field.

3+ years of experience in related lab experience (academic or industry).

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

Master's Degree preferred with 1 year experience in related lab experience.

A combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.

Strong hands-on laboratory skills in immunological techniques, including ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays.

Knowledge of vaccine development principles and preclinical research is preferred.

Proficiency with data analysis software (GraphPad, FlowJo, JMP) and Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
