Job Description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Artesia, NM is seeking a Product Revenue Supervisor. This position supervises assigned accounts department as well as conducts monthly and annual accounting assignments.

Job Duties

Oversees daily operations within the department including supervision of staff on all tasks and projects
Assists in quarterly and annual audits
Provides and assists manager with monthly variances and analysis explanations
Coordinates and books monthly expenses and accruals depending on assigned location
Analyzes, reviews, develops and approves assigned reports and distributes as needed and applicable
Provides auditors with information regarding all necessary reports
Reconcile general ledger accounts as necessary and prepares journal entries depending on assigned location
Oversees and reviews reporting and document preparation as assigned
Oversee preparation and processing of assigned reports and payments
Liaises and collaborates across Company departments regarding accounting tasks, projects, and information to resolve issues, find solutions, and maintain accuracy
Oversee and ensure all invoices are recorded properly and paid in a timely manner, reviewing records to ensure accuracy
Reviews payment runs and ensures that the manual checks, wires, and ACH payments occur timely
Ensure vendors receive and complete all appropriate government forms
Work with auditor on SOX compliance
Act as an accounting information resource and coordinator as assigned
Supervise and complete special projects as requested by Accounting Management
Develops departmental goals including training requirements
Follows employee�s progress toward established goals
Counsels employees as required
Develops and communicates employee performance appraisals
Assists other departments with related system training and/or reporting issues

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience

A minimum of five years of on-the-job experience and 1 year supervisory or lead experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance, is required.

Required Skills

Ability to perform complex accounting analysis and mathematical calculations. The ability to communicate effective with others, both written and verbal communication. Good reading and writing skills. The ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations and formulas. Working knowledge of Microsoft products especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. A broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures pertaining to GAAP. Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley. Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates. A significant amount of experience in finance is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications. Experience working with an accounting system.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with SAP FI/CO, BI Reporting, Budgeting, accounting and maintenance software are preferred. Industry experience preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Supervises of the day to day responsibilities of up to 10 nonexempt and exempt employees.

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 5% of the time by land or air. Subject to varying road conditions. May be required to work flexible hours.
