Visa is looking for a Director, Event Strategy and Operations to lead the process and technologies necessary to program manage internal and external events at Visa. The Director will manage our strategic meetings management platform, resource allocation, project plans and internal communications of the Corporate Events team. Responsibilities include establishing program best practices and efficient workflow for our internal (and external) cross-functional teams, partners and clients. A successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, excel at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, able to work effectively in a complex organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs into a successful event. The role is responsible for managing 1-2 direct reports and is based in Visa’s Foster City or San Francisco office, reporting to the VP of Corporate Events.
Lead intake process and scope of all initiatives handled by the team
Partner with senior stakeholders to guarantee appropriate prioritization occurs and clear goals, KPIs and roles & responsibilities are developed
Drive solutions for new and innovative concepts to enhance attendee experience while driving success metrics
Support development of a Visa Event Center of Excellence and annual strategic plans
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
? 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
? 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
? 8 years of event strategy and operations experience
? Experience defining program requirements and using metrics to determine improvements
? Bias for action, highly motivated with the ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in an ever-changing environment
? Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across business units
? Proven track record of delivering results in large, cross-functional initiatives
